Trukerie
As a wood sculptor, I draw inspiration from the nature around me and let myself be guided by the curves and tones of various reclaimed wood species found throughout the Laurentians.
I work with walnut, maple, basswood, staghorn sumac, and autumn cherry, as well as a few exotic species such as purpleheart, Peruvian Palo Santo, ebony, and African padauk.
From hand-carved burl wood bowls to earrings made from wood or deer antler, to shawl pins crafted from natural tree growths and buttons either carved or turned on a lathe—Trukerie is all about creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
I look forward to meeting you and chatting about all things wood!
