Nature holds all the colors of the rainbow. You just have to know how to coax them out!  In this fun and informative class, we will explore natural dyes in many forms: flowers, roots, bark, leaves, even an insect or 2.  This workshop focuses on the dyeing of yarn. Each participant will leave with a full set of mini skeins, around 14 or so colors, at least 600 yards of merino yarn.

Jackie Ottino

Jackie is a natural dyer from Maine. She spent 6 years running a commercial dye house for a yarn company before developing a curriculum of fun and beautiful natural dye workshops. She is a master of the chemistry of natural dyes, coaxing many colors from a single dye stuff. She also loves spinning and knitting and has way too much yarn.
