In this workshop, you will be guided step by step to complete your own micro-macramé bracelet, learning four basic knots including bead threading, finishing techniques, and how to create a sliding clasp, and you will leave with your creation as well as additional materials to make another one at home.

Please note: this is a 4-hour workshop (1:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

 

What you leave with: Your bracelet completed during the class, additional materials to continue at home, an instructional pamphlet, a tutorial, and plenty of tips and tricks to properly execute the knots.

Prerequisites

Use of very small parts; therefore, it’s best to be comfortable with fine motor skills and to have good visual comfort (glasses or visual aids are welcome if needed).

What is provided (for the duration of the workshop)

A pair of pliers, thread, and the beads needed to create the bracelet will be provided. All the necessary tools to make the jewelry (board, scissors, needle, lighter, etc.) will be loaned to you during the class.

What to bring

Anything you need to feel comfortable and see clearly (glasses, if needed).

Emilie Gaudreault

Émilie has always been immersed in the world of the arts. She studied art at CEGEP and university, later returned to school for photography, and eventually left everything behind to travel. During one of her trips, she learned the art of micro-macramé from experts in Guatemala, Mexico, and Spain, and quickly became passionate about it. With over 13 years of experience in this technique, she founded her small business, Création Norem, where she continues to create, teach, and now offer materials for this medium. She continues to learn and now loves sharing this knotting technique, which has no limits.
