Sabrina Boutin
In 2016, while strolling through Old Quebec, Sabrina stumbled upon a knitting machine boutique by pure chance. The following week, she was already working there, learning to operate the knitting machine, unaware that she would embark on a textile construction training course to start a new career the following year. Three years later, armed with her diploma, she founded her own knitting business: La Maille Folle. Upon completing her studies, Sabrina was concerned about the waste generated by textile overconsumption and pondered the role of designers in this context. This led her to decide to offer her knitting product development services to Quebec companies wishing to promote renewable materials and fair labor. Since 2017, she has been assisting several artisans and designers in knitting production or development. She also teaches hand knitting, sharing all her tips and tricks with her students to help them succeed in their projects every time.
