Arielle Prince-Ferron
Twelve years ago, Arielle Prince-Ferron discovered the timeless art of basketry, and in 2020, she gave life to Brins d'Nature—a small-scale business fuelled by her unwavering passion for weaving with nature.
Her creations are a testament to a commitment to preserving an ancient skill, offering an alternative to the accelerated degradation of ecosystems, and promoting overall mental health. Arielle crafts practical objects for everyday life and weaves living willow structures, each telling a unique story of connection with the natural world.
Arielle works exclusively with locally harvested plants, including wild and cultivated willow from her own garden, dogwood, roots, birch-cedar, willow bark, cattails leaves, and more. Every piece is a celebration of sustainable practices and a tribute to the rich diversity of nature.
Having learned various basketry techniques, Arielle is mainly self-taught, drawing inspiration from teachers in Quebec, Vermont, and Japan. Her journey goes beyond creating beautiful objects; for the past 12 years, she has been facilitating groups of all ages, focusing on nature connection, art in nature, and empathy.
Brins d'Nature is more than a business—it's a small revolution where the connection to all life matters, and caring for the living world and each other is paramount. Arielle invites you to join her on this transformative journey towards a more harmonious and sustainable relationship with nature.
