Description

Get ready for the holiday season in August by making Ducette® braided yarn trees for ornaments or decorations. This is an excellent project to learn for “stash busting” when you want to use up your own fibre scraps. During this workshop, the square braid and the “Braiding the Braid” techniques will be taught using a dual lucet (Ducette®) and a collection of fibres to create a sample first then 3 trees. All the materials will be supplied by the instructor to use during the workshop- all you need is your interest in creating some unique decor items. There will be many examples of other uses for lucet braiding such as jewellery and wearable fashion pieces to stimulate your imagination.

  • Crochet hook (4 mm)
  • Your own lucet or Ducette® if you have one
  • The instructor will have extra scissors and hooks for use in class.
