Sandra Araujo has been knitting and loving it for more than ten years. She travelled around Mexico to teach workshops and sell her products.
Sandra learned to knit from a feminist fighter; maybe that’s why her work has a feminine taste with a touch of autonomy and freedom. To pursue her passions, she moved to the countryside where she acquired other materials, techniques and textile knowledge that added depth to her work. She founded the Chuleles collective whose members make crochet shoes, clothes and accessories.
One of the objectives of the collective is to keep learning and sharing different kinds of textile arts and to improve what its members are doing every day with their hands and their hearts.
