Ginette Bérard

Ginette Bérard

Originally from the Mauricie Region, I traveled around the province of Quebec and in the United States for a short stint in the 70s. Passionate about hand knitting and machine knitting for the past 35 years, I have perfected my knowledge by attending workshops on “Knitting Machine Design” offered by the Lasalle College in Quebec City in 1987-1988. I have also attended a course on knitting pattern with designer Manon Salois. I am familiar with the knitting machines from Silver Reed, Singer, Studio, Brother and Passap. From 1985 to 2002, I joined the “Thousand stitches Club” as a member and then as President for a few years. I am continually experimenting and learning new techniques. I have passed on my passion for knitting for about 15 years by teaching in Quebec City, and now in Montreal since 2002.
